[Re]Activate Mama Pina's Cookbook

By Gabriela Aceves Sepúlveda

This is website contains a scanned version and transcribed texts from a family cookbook handwritten by three generations of women in Guadalajara, Mexico (1885-2014). It serves as a digital repository of my art-based research on the role of women as agents and producers of the archive and the cookbook itself.

The project aims to [re] activate domestic practices — traditionally viewed outside of the Archive — through various acts of digital remediation.
