Produced by the Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons. This group works with marginalized and high poverty communities and seeks to seek the race narrative through groundbreaking reports, short films, and the creation of new spaces, markers and memorials. The reports address issues of slavery, Reconstruction, lynching, segregation, discrimination, and the injustice of the criminal justice system.
