Black Visions is a Black-led queer and trans centering organization with a commitment to shared leadership, shared resources and self determination. From our beginning, we have been working to embody a commitment to sustainability, strategy, and long term vision, toward building a thriving and intersectional, Black organizing ecosystem. We are a distinctive Black community organization that sees the vastness of Blackness as a strength of both our work and our communities; whether we are immigrants, US born, transplants to the city or life long residents, we all experience the harm of police violence, poverty, anti-Blackness and xenophobia. Therefore, it is our collective experience as survivors of violence and our belief that a different, more abundant future for our city is possible that brought us together and continues to drive our work.
